In the wake of tropical cyclone "Shaheen," which wreaked havoc in the northern regions of the Sultanate on October 3, 2021, IHG Hotels Oman is proud to announce its partnership with the esteemed Dar Al Atta Organization to launch the "Together for Oman" Campaign. This national initiative aims to provide vital assistance to those affected by the catastrophic weather event.
The cornerstone of this collaboration is the support for Dar Al Atta's visionary project, "Al Atta Neighborhood." This project is designed to provide 36 Omani families with a fresh start, ensuring them a secure and dignified quality of life. The families, whose homes were rendered uninhabitable due to the devastating impact of Cyclone Shaheen, will find refuge in this newly constructed residential enclave.
The Al Atta Neighborhood is set to be an integrated residential community, offering not only shelter but also a vibrant environment for families to thrive. With an estimated cost of 1,500,000 Omani Rials, this neighborhood will comprise 36 modern housing units, meticulously designed to meet the unique needs of the beneficiaries. Located in Sana'a Bani Ghafer, it will boast essential amenities such as a public park, mosque, multi-purpose hall, and a nursery.
One of the distinguishing features of Al Atta Neighborhood is its commitment to sustainability. Greenhouse systems and alternative energy sources will be integrated, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to construction that aligns with Oman's environmental goals.
