Aiming to provide innovative solutions in oil field operations, ARA Petroleum Signs MoU with the Green Universe Enterprise

Muscat: ARA Petroleum Exploration & Production LLC, the Energy & Natural Resources arm of The Zubair Corporation recently signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU's) with the Green Universe Enterprise, a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME). The MoU's support the research and development of projects within the Oil & Gas sector in Oman with the first involving the research & development of a water sampling drone. The second MoU is for the research and building of an Automated Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV).

The Green Universe Corporation has operated in the field of renewable energy and drone technology since 2019, and specialises in designing, supplying, installing, and maintaining solar systems, as well as supplying drone services. The company also provides many products that rely on solar energy such as unmanned automated vehicles and charging stations.

Inked by Dr. Omar bin Salem Al Jaidi, the General Manager of the company and for Green Universe Enterprise by Somaya bint Nasser Al Rawahi, the founder, and CEO, the agreement highlights ARA Petroleum’s commitment towards enhancing safety for employees as well as preserving the environment. ARA Petroleum aims to always drive sustainability & improve safety across all operations within the organisation.

Speaking on the association, Dr. Omar bin Salem Al Jaidi said, “This agreement aims to support research and development of solutions that revolutionise oilfield operations as well as influence environmental preservation in line with best industry practises. Our association rests on the common goal of developing a robust and sustainable oil & gas sector within Oman and across our operations through scientific research and innovation in line with Oman Vision 2040.”

Sumaya bint Nasser Al Rawahi, on behalf of the Green Universe Enterprise stressed on how this partnership will enable the company to take serious steps in providing innovative solutions in the field of measuring environmental pollution. “Cooperation between conglomerates and SMEs to achieve sustainable development goals is the future of growth. We aim to pioneer green & renewable energy solutions through extensive research for sustainable industry practises that give way for a better tomorrow.
