Muscat: Oman's Fatma Al Nabhani reached the doubles semifinals of the $10000 Saint Gervais Mont Blanc ITF women's tournament, according to information received here.
Fatma Al Nabhani partnering Estelle Cascino of France played their hearts out to win the doubles quarterfinals with the match decided on a closely fought third set.
The combo of Fatma and Estelle defeated Argentina's Carla Lucero and Italy's Chiara Quattrone 7-6 (2), 3-6, 11-9.
After winning the first set via tie-break, Fatma and Estelle lost steam to lose the second set 3-6.
However, the Omani-French duo played a tough set to prevail 11-9.
Next up in the semifinals for Fatma and Estelle are the Chiara Scholl (USA) and Marina Shamayko (Russia), who defeated the French combo of Alice Bacquie and Elixane Lechemia 7-5, 7-5
