In a first, test flight launched to link sea and air cargo operations in Oman

Muscat: Salalah Airport launched the test flight for the first cargo service between the airport and the port of Salalah, in a process that is the first of its kind to link sea with air cargo in the Sultanate of Oman.

 This came as part of Oman Airports' initiatives with its strategic partners to consolidate the integrated logistics system between ports and airports.

The logistical link contributes to the consolidation of the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a global logistics center and a connecting hub between continents, opens new horizons in freight operations, raises the efficiency of supply chains, improves transportation costs, speeds up delivery, maximizes the benefit of ⁧‫logistics system‬⁩ , and raises the Sultanate’s classification in international logistics performance indicators.
