Ways to boost Omani product presence on shelves discussed

Muscat: Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry met with the owners and representatives of large commercial complexes and hypermarkets, as well as Omani manufacturers and producers at the headquarters of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).
During the meeting, they discussed the mechanisms that would contribute to the Omani product’s presence in local markets, which in turn contributes to the development of local added value of Omani products, whether produced by large Omani companies or Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
They also discussed the challenges faced by Omani producers in terms of the presence and marketing of their products in the large commercial complexes in the Sultanate.
