Muscat: The Science, Technology and Innovation (STAI), the mega event which is conducted under the aegis of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman for the Academic Year 2023-24, will be hosted by Indian School Al Maabela in a blended form. It is a platform for young brains to explore their talents and to apply their ingenious skills.
STAI 2023 is a platform for young brains to explore their talents and to apply their ingenious skills. The event attempts to spread an interest, develop the curiosity and kindle the young minds to think beyond the horizons and to feel the euphoria as they progress in inventions in the field of Mathematics, Science and IT.
A press meet in this connection was organised on 28 August at the Board Conference Room. Dr Sivakumar Manickam, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman who chaired the press meet shared the details of STAI 2023.
Dr Sivakumar Manickam in his address to the media appreciated the efforts and time put in by the administrators, teachers and students of all the participating schools and highlighted the importance of science and technology in children’s life.
Chairman thanked the Principal, President and the members of the Management committee of Indian School Al Maabela for the relentless support and guidance given to make STAI a resounding success.
He also thanked the School Coordinators, Principals and SMCs of all Indian Schools across the Sultanate for encouraging massive participation from their respective schools in the various events organised as part of STAI 2023.

STAI2023 comes with a tag line “Empowered to Innovate” which showcases talented students from Indian Schools across Oman under one umbrella.
STAI 2023 stands as a beacon of the educational community’s dedication to cultivating an environment that celebrates curiosity, nurtures creativity, and ignites the passion for scientific discovery. The event will operate in a hybrid format, combining online and offline components, allowing students to participate and contribute regardless of their location or circumstances. The organizing school is much elated to invite Private, International & Ministry schools to participate in offline Science Exhibition.
At its core, the STAI event seeks to achieve the subsequent goals: Encouraging active student engagement, fostering sustained interest and advancement in the realms of Science & Technology, facilitating deeper exploration of individual expertise, and inspiring a keen interest in novel concepts.
STAI 2023 offers a comprehensive array of exceptional events designed to cultivate young minds, sparking their enthusiasm for science, technology, and innovation. The events are conducted in three categories – sub junior, junior and senior. More than eight hundred students have already registered for various competitive events and nearly ten thousand students have registered for the Science Wizard competitive examination. More registrations are expected towards the closing date of registration.
The inaugural ceremony of the event will be held on 8th September with His Excellency Shri Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman as the Chief Guest. The keynote address will be delivered by the Global Child Prodigy and the World’s Youngest Professor Soborno Issac Bari.
The events on both the days are open to students and their parents from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the organizing School invites all to come and see the innovative and ingenuous creations of students in the different domains of science, technology and IT.
