Oman's military mountaineering team scales Iran's Mount Damāvand

Muscat: The military mountaineering team managed to reach the highest peak of Mount Damāvand in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is 5,670 meters high.

The heroes of the military mountaineering team were able to reach the highest peak of Mount Damāvand in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is 5,670 meters high, in the “Climbing for Peace” championship that is being held in the Islamic Republic of Iran and under the umbrella of the International Military Sports Council  from August 18 till August 24, 2023, with the participation of a number of countries.

The summit of Mount Damāvand is one of the highest peaks in western Asia and Europe, and it is located in the middle of the Albers mountain range in the south of the Caspian Sea. Its summit is permanently covered by snow, in addition to low temperature and high atmospheric pressure. However, these challenges did not deter the military mountaineering team from reaching its summit.
