Advanced stage of Gulf Scout Summer Camp held in Dhofar Governorate

Muscat: Over 260 scouts from the Sultanate of Oman and GCC countries have participated in Gulf Scout Summer Camp for the advanced scout stage which was held in Dhofar Governorate.

The activities of the Gulf Scout Summer Camp for the advanced scout stage were concluded in the Jabal Ashur Plain in Dhofar Governorate, under the slogan "Future Skills: Innovation, Challenge and Sustainability", which was organised by the Directorate General of Scouts and Girl Guides at the Ministry of Education as part of its annual plan for scouting activities.

 The conclusion of the activities of the scout camp was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, Head of Dhofar Municipality, in the presence of a number of officials.

 Yasser bin Hammoud Al Mawali, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Camp for Programs, delivered a speech in which he said: "The Scout camp focused on three main axes, it included the axis of technology and artificial intelligence, the axis of challenge, adventure and competition programmes, and the axis of sustainability and environmental preservation through a number of programmes and activities that achieve the goals of these axes."

 "The camp witnessed 265 participants from the Sultanate and GCC countries. It included various activities that combined learning, entertainment, and the exchange of scouting and scientific experiences, which had a great impact on refining the talents and skills of scouts, " Al Mawali added.

 The closing programme also included an exhibition for the participating delegations, and a visual presentation on the camp's activities aimed at promoting the values ​​of good citizenship in the hearts of scouts by preserving environmental resources and encouraging them to explore the Omani environment in the field.
