Muscat: The 100-kilometre endurance race, Habot Dhofar, was held on Saturday evening on the shore of Khor Al-Dahariz in the Wilayat of Salalah. It was organized by the Dhofar Equestrian Committee in cooperation with the Oman Equestrian Federation.
27 riders from all governorates and wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman participated in the race, and the horse (Swain) of the knight Khaled Al Balushi won the first place, and the horse (GM Font) of the jockey Younis Al-Rashdi came in the second place, while the horse (Safwan) of the jockey Abdullah bin Alawi Moqbel came in the third place.
The winners will be honored during a ceremony that will be held next Monday at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.
