Muscat: The first day first show of superstar, Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, ‘Jailer’, will begin as early as 4.30 am in Muscat and Sohar on Thursday. Sounds unbelievable, but this is true.
On the website of Vox Cinemas, movie buffs can book tickets at 4.30 am in Azaiba, City Centre Muscat, City Centre Qurum, Mall of Oman, MGM and City Centre Sohar.
“It is very rare to see the first day first show at 4.30 am that too on a working day. It clearly shows how popular Rajinikanth is in Oman,” Selvan, an Indian expat who hails from Chennai in India, said.
He also said that he was shocked when he was trying to book his seat in advance on Tuesday morning. “I didn’t get seat of my choice at one of the multiplexes and had to settle for seats in the front row even at 4.30 am on Thursday. All the good seats were gone by that time,” another movie buff, Murugeshan said.
Made with a budget of Rs200 crores (OMR100,000), ‘Jailer’ is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language black comedy-action film written and directed by Nelson and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures.
It stars Rajinikanth in the title role, along with Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon, and Tamannaah Bhatia.
The film will hit the theatres on August 10 and fans are buzzing with excitement regarding the same. The trailer of the movie has already given fans an idea about Jailer, which promises action, suspense, high-energetic songs and definitely some humour, that excited fans are awaiting with their bated breath.
Such is the craze for the movie that the trailer has already amassed more than 20 million views.
Rajinikanth, aka, Thalaivaa is known for his larger-than-life persona he creates on the big screen. However, in this movie, he will be portraying the role of a jailer and fans will see him perform a few stunts as well.
Jailer marks the return of the superstar, Rajinikanth, on the silver screen after his two years of hiatus. He was last seen in
