Assigned by His Majesty, HH Sayyid Shihab bids farewell to German ambassador

Muscat: On a Royal assignment from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik bin Taimur Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs received today in his office His Excellency Thomas Schneider, Ambassador of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany, to bid farewell on the occasion of the end of his duties as ambassador of his country to the Sultanate of Oman.

His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs expressed his thanks to His Excellency the Ambassador for the efforts he made to strengthen bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Republic of Germany, wishing him continued success. For his part, the Ambassador praised during the interview the strong relations between the two friendly countries, and also expressed his happiness, pride and appreciation for the cooperation he enjoyed during his tenure in the Sultanate.
