Oman's successful tourism promotion campaign in India

Mumbai: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism concluded in the Indian city of Mumbai, the mobile promotional workshops in the Republic of India, on Monday. The workshops started in New Delhi, passing through Jaipur and Kolkata, from July 24 to July 31, 2023.

About 200 tourism institutions and companies participated in the promotional campaign in Mumbai, and the events witnessed a distinguished presence from major tourism companies and the Indian media.

Asma bint Salem Al Hajari, Assistant Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Directorate General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, indicated that the promotional workshops in the Republic of India were fruitful with the participation of Omani tourism sector companies and their counterparts from the Indian market, which witnessed the signing of several agreements to jointly promote tourism in the Sultanate of Oman.

Through the establishment of promotional workshops in a number of targeted global tourism markets - including the Indian market - the Ministry seeks to attract different segments, promote attractive styles and closely identify the requirements of these markets.

It aims to introduce travel and tourism companies and the media to the Omani tourism potential and Oman's position as an entertainment destination while promoting and marketing the most prominent services, products and facilities in the Omani tourism sector.

Participants in the promotional workshops confirmed the success of the events organised by the Ministry in the Republic of India, and praised the efforts made by the Ministry to promote the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman.

Guests were apprised about the services and offers that Oman provides, in addition to holding many meetings to discuss ways to enhance integration and partnership in the various tourism fields to enhance the competitiveness of the sector.
