Clarification issued regarding Zipline at Oman Adventure Centre

Muscat: Oman Adventure Centre has denied what has been circulated on social media regarding the Musandam Zipline, affirming that the operations are functioning with high efficiency and strict safety protocols. 

Oman Adventure Centre said in a clarification: “There is no truth to what was circulated about the breakdown of the Zipline at the Oman Adventure Centre in Musandam for a period of two hours. The operational works of the wire work with high efficiency, in accordance with the highest health and safety protocols to ensure the creation of exceptional experiences for visitors."

The statement added that the strict safety standards that are applied in the centre necessitate turning off the wire in some cases. The team dealt with one such instance yesterday which was a precautionary halt when a number of adventurers were present, but affirming that the period did not exceed more than 8 minutes.
