Sending message of peace, love is essence Omani media policy

Cairo: The Sultanate has participated in the 49th meeting of the Arab Information Ministers Council in Cairo, on Wednesday.
Dr. Abdulmoneim bin Mansour Al Hasani, Minister of Information led the Omani side.
The Minister of Information said that “the role of the Omani media is to build and further cement ties of friendship between the Sultanate and the other countries and nations” .
The essence of Oman’s media policy was to send a message of love and peace, he added in a statement on the sidelines of the activities of the 49th Meeting of the Arab Information Ministers Council.
Recently, Oman has executed a number and initiatives, mainly the community media centre and the digital transformation project, he added. During the celebrations with the Arab Media Excel Awards held on the sidelines of the 49th Meeting of the Arab Information Ministers Council, the Council honoured a number of Omani media persons mainly Mona bint Mahfoudh al Mantheri former members of the State Council and first announcer at Oman Radio and Television; Ibrahim bin Salim Al Salmi director Oman TV Channel; Adnan Salim Al Kathiri and Abdullah bin Zaher Al Adawi from Oman TV among other media personalities.
