This landmark amphitheatre in Oman has now been privatised

Muscat: Muscat’s landmark City Amphitheatre in Qurum, has been privatised for the next five years, officials said.
The amphitheatre that was run by Muscat Municipality for the last 35 years, has now been outsourced to an Omani SME, Orbit Events Management (part of Orbit Leading Projects).
City Amphitheatre has been the venue for some of Oman’s most memorable performances and G. Ramesh, CEO of the Orbit Events Management said, “It is an honour and great recognition of our work that Muscat Municipality has awarded us the bid to operate the most popular venue in Oman - City Amphitheatre, Qurum.
“We have made plans to step up the look and feel of this venue in a phased manner. As the venue offers a seating capacity of more than 4,000, the numbers of shows/concerts that take place here are limited. With the intent to make it popular and accessible to many more organisers who need lesser seating capacity, we are working towards customising the place.”
