Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman andJordan , at the 11th session of the Omani-Jordanian Joint Committee in Amman have stressed the importance of expanding the horizons of joint cooperation in economic, trade and investment fields, supporting the role of the private sector in areas increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two brotherly countries, and strengthening joint cooperation in areas of great economic return.
In the joint statement of the Ministerial Committee, the two brotherly countries stressed the need to stop the escalation in the Palestinian arena, and the importance of reaching a just and comprehensive solution that ends the occupation and fulfills the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, on the basis of the two-state solution in accordance with the relevant international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
The two countries also signed a number of memorandums of understanding and executive programmes in the fields of: Industrial cities, youth, the environment, consumer protection, and educational cooperation.
