Renovation works underway in the Al Busaid neighbourhood

Muscat: Renovation work undertaken by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture continues to take place in the Al Busaid neighbourhood in the Wilayat of Adam.
Currently, one of the towers and the Harat Al Busaid, the house of Imam Ahmad bin Said Al Busaidi, the founder of the Al Busaidi dynasty and the first ruler of Oman, is being worked on.
The Ministry of Heritage and Culture said: “Work is currently being done on the house of Imam Ahmad bin Said Al Busaidi and one of the other towers.”
The neighbourhood is located in Wilayat Adam in Al Dhakiliyah and the Ministry of Heritage and Culture is continuing its restoration and maintenance works according to the plans of the project.
The ministry added, “The area is characterised by many monuments and archaeological houses, distinctive towers and a large mosque with a peculiar niche (Mihrab).”
