Muscat: Shops and hypermarkets in the Sultanate of Oman witnessed a massive rush of customers on the eve of Eid Al Adha. People were seen buying commodities with their family members to mark the Eid festival.

Many people have bought sheep and goats in advance to avoid the last minute rush. People in the country were keen to buy Eid needs early from the multiple markets that include clothes, foodstuffs, and various traditional foods that are served at the Eid tables, in addition to buying local meals that are cooked from sacrificial meat.

Shops selling traditional food, such as Omani sweets, and traditional restaurants that prepare the meal "Al Ma'jeen" and the local bread "Qalb", witnessed a great demand from consumers, as it is considered one of the main foods for many families in the governorate during Eid holidays.

Shops selling perfumes, incense, sweets, nuts, and ready-made clothes are also witnessing an active commercial activity, in addition to men's and women's sewing shops, and markets selling livestock, vegetables, and fruits.

It should be noted that the various markets in the states and governorates of the Sultanate of Oman are witnessing a huge turnout in preparation for the blessed Eid Al-Adha.
