Muscat: Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al-Shaibaniya, Minister of Education, honoured the Doha Al-Adab team for innovation, consisting of two students, Maryam Al-Rahbi and Shathar Al-Kharousi and the team management comprising Iman Al-Rahbi, Asila Al-Harthi and Asma Al-Saadi for winning fourth place in the International Science and Technology Exhibition in the United States of America.
The Minister thanked the school administration and the teachers for the efforts made in the field of innovation and thanked the parents of the students for their role in motivating and encouraging their children to participate in such international competitions.
The Minister praised the achievements of the students of the Dohat Al-Adab School, and their achievement of fourth place globally in the International Science and Technology Exhibition in the United States of America in the field of environmental engineering.
The Sultanate of Oman participated with three innovations in this exhibition, of which the Dohat Al-Adab School from Muscat Governorate won the fourth place for “using animal bones to produce filaments for a 3D printer” in the field of environmental engineering.
It is worth noting that the team obtained a number of advanced positions in local and international competitions, as the two students achieved first place at the Sultanate level at the National Olympiad for Engineering and Innovation and first place in the National University Innovation Competition.
