Oman heating up as temperatures set to approach 50 degrees

Muscat: High temperatures expected in the Sultanate of Oman for today, Thursday June 22, 2023 and the next two days, specifically at noon with a ranging from mid-forties to early fifties degrees Celsius in desert and open areas, said Oman Meteorology.

The General Directorate of Meteorology advised people in Oman to avoid direct exposure to sunlight.

The highest temperatures recorded in the Sultanate during the past 24 hours were 47.4 degrees Celsius in Hamra Al Duru’, 46.8 in Al Sunina and 46.6 in Fahud.
