Muscat: The Omani foreign minister and his Iranian counterpart are discussing ways to enhance joint cooperation, Oman News Agency, (ONA), said
His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received this morning His Excellency Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is currently on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and followed up on the results of the noble visit of His Majesty the Sultan - may God protect and preserve him - to Tehran last May.
The two sides reviewed means of enhancing joint areas of cooperation in cultural, trade, economic and investment affairs, energy projects, transportation, ports and other aspects aimed at supporting economic diversification and serving the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
Additionally, the two sides exchanged views on a number of issues and developments in regional and international arenas, and affirmed their support for all peaceful efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the world.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador-at-Large Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Hinai, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al-Maskari, Head of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Regional Neighborhood Department, and a number of officials from both sides.
