Cairo: An explosive device exploded near a bus carrying South African tourists near the Pyramids of Giza, wounding several tourists according to authorities.

The explosives blew up near the bus, which was carrying 25 tourists from South Africa, shattering windows and injuring many of those on board, an official said.

The blast also hit a nearby car, injuring four Egyptians.

The attack comes nearly five months after three Vietnamese tourists and their Egyptian tour guide were killed when a bomb hit their tour bus as it was travelling on El-Maryoutita Street in Giza's Haram district.
