Muscat: A team from the Omani Hajj mission headed to Medina on Saturday to provide services to the Omani pilgrims visiting the city.
The team, headed by Abdulaziz bin Masoud Al-Ghafri, deputy head of the mission, said: “The mission on its arrival in Medina will provide guidance and health services, and supervise the Hajj companies by carry out field visits to check whether the Omani pilgrims arriving in Medina are getting all the services in accordance with the terms of the contract between them and the Hajj companies.”
Abdulaziz bin Masoud Al-Ghafri indicated that the team will stay from the 28th day of Dhul Qadah while most of the pilgrims will head to Makkah Al-Mukarramah to perform the rituals of Hajj.
He said that more than 60 percent of the pilgrims coming from Oman will go to Medina to visit the Prophet’s Mosque, before heading to Makkah Al-Mukarramah for Hajj. The mission team in Medina will provide integrated services, as it has been formed from all service delegations, and includes Fatwa and Religious Guidance delegation, delegation supervising Hajj firms, medical delegation, Royal Oman Police delegation, administrative and financial delegation, and scout delegation.
