Muscat: The Office of the State Council on Wednesday held the 5th meeting of its 4th regular session for the 7th Term.
The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council.
The State Council’s Office discussed fresh studies and proposals submitted by its committees. It looked into a study titled “Services Provided to Persons with Disabilities in the Sultanate of Oman—the Reality and the Aspirations”.
Then, it exchanged views about two topics presented by the Technology and Innovation Committee.
The first topic dealt with scenarios of adapting to the use of electric vehicles (EVs). The second topic evolved around legislative and regulatory principles in e-commerce.
The State Council’s Office also discussed a study on distance learning (education) policies, legislation and ways to develop it in Oman. The study highlighted the importance of distance learning, its effects and the common challenges facing its implementation.
