Muscat: Isolated rainfall expected during the next three days over parts of the Sultanate of Oman's governorates as a result of the tropical system -Biparjoy, in the Arabian Sea, Oman Meteorology said on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
"The latest weather maps and analysis of the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center indicates of tropical system as a tropical cyclone Cat. 1 in the North of the Arabian Sea and it lay centered on Latitude 20.8 N and Longitude 67.0 E. The centre of the Tropical cyclone is 770 km away from the Sultanate of Oman and it is moving north ward to the Indian and Pakistan coasts. There is no direct impact on the Sultanate of Oman weather, " Oman Meteorology said in its Report No. 5.
It is likely to make landfall on Thursday, 15th June 2023 along the coastal areas of India (Gujarat) and Pakistan (Karachi).

Medium and high clouds advection over parts of the Sultanate of Oman's Governorates with chance of isolated rain during next three days. Continues caution, maximum wave height may reach 3-6 meters along South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates , with chance of sea water inundation to the low level areas . Also moderate to rough sea condition along the coastal areas of Oman sea with maximum wave height of 2-4 meters .
