Muscat: According to a report by Oman Meteorology, Cyclone Biparjoy is moving north towards Pakistan / Northern India and there is no chance for a direct impact on the Sultanate of Oman.
"The latest developments and details of the tropical state (Biparjoy) in the Arabian Sea, that the tropical state is still tropical cyclone category 2. And it is moving north towards Pakistan / Northern India. There is no direct impact on the Sultanate of Oman, with the continuation of the alert of sea wave rise on the coasts of the Arabian Sea," the Meteorology said in a statement.
According to the Meteorology, the cyclone is centered in the Arabian Sea at latitude 17.9 north and longitude 67.5 east. It is about 950 km from the coast of the Sultanate of Oman, and the wind speed around the center is estimated from 83 to 95 knots.
