Muscat: The Royal Navy of Oman has carried out a rescue operation for a foreign ship suffering from a technical malfunction in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
The Ministry of Defence said: “The Royal Navy of Oman, in the Wilayat of Sur in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, carried out a rescue operation for a wooden ship (AI Boom) passing in the Arabian Sea, after receiving a report stating that the ship had suffered a technical malfunction.”
The Royal Navy of Oman found the ship 22 nautical miles northeast of Ras Al Hadd in the south of Al Sharqiyah Governorate, and it was towed by one of the Royal Navy ships to the port of Sur.
