Acute water crisis grips Ruwi area as potable supply disrupted

Muscat: Many areas in Ruwi are facing water crisis from Monday morning due to stoppage of tap water supply.

People are using water tankers to tide over the water crisis. After the repair of fault on Tuesday evening in front of Ruwi bus station, some areas around heaved a sigh of relief as water started coming down from tap slowly but many houses around Rex road are still reeling from the water shortage.

While some have requisitioned tankers, others have moved to nearby places for their daily chores. Keeping their fingers crossed, people are hoping that the water crisis will end soon.
