Oman horse racing: Fatma rides Awesome Kudoos to victory

Muscat: Oman’s Fatma Al Manji rode Awesome Kudoos MHF to victory in the Fegentri Lady Riders Cup during the final race meeting of the 2017-18 Oman horse racing season on Saturday.

The final races of the season, held under the auspices Legal Affairs Minister Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Saidi, were organised by the Royal Horse Racing Club (RHRC) at Al Rahba Racrcourse in Barka.

In the Fegentri Lady Riders Cup, a 1600m race for the pure Arabian horses, Fatma Al rode Awesome Kudoos to top honours. Awesome Kudoos is owned by Qais Al Zakwani and trained by Zuhair Al Zakwani.

In the 2000m race of pure Arabian and imported horses, stallion Amaar took the top rize. Ammar is owned by Mahboob Hashmani, trained by Sultan Al Hajri and ridden by Issa Al Balushi.

Dubai Iconic, ridden by Anas Al Siyabi, won the 2000m race for thoroughbred horses. Dubai Iconic is owned by Ramzi Al Falahi and trained by Mohammed Al Siyabi.

The top place in the 2000m race for pure Arabian horses went to Meblsh, which was ridden by Al Motasem Al Balushi.

Meblsh is owned by Sheikh Saad Suhail Salim Al Mukhaini Bahwan and trained by Bader Al Hajri.

Meanwhile, in the 1600m locally bred horses, stallion Al Saktoun, owned and trained by Humaid Al Mahrooqi and ridden by Asad Al Siyabi, won the top honours.
