Muscat: The high committee for National Day celebrations in Oman has announced tenders for the supply of flags and fire crackers.
As many as three tenders will be conducted: One for supply of flags, another to provide fireworks for Muscat and a third one to provide crackers for Salalah.
Interested parties can begin applying today and can do so up to April 26, 2018 on payment of a fee of OMR25. The last date for the submission of the tender itself is May 10, 2018.
"Those who are registered with Tender Board in grade two and above qualified to carry out the project perfectly may collect the tender documents against payment of OMR25 per set, non-refundable, for each tender, from the Office of High Committee for National Day at Al Khuwair, during working hours, on working days from Sunday, April 8 and the last date of collection is Thursday, April 26.
"Last day for the submission of the tenders will be at 2:00 pm on May 10," an official statement by the high committee for national day read.
Applicants have also been requested to submit the pertinent documents addressed to the relevant authorities.
"Registration certificates and relevant papers issued by the concerned authorities when collecting tender documents. Also, as far as fireworks are concerned, the company should be registered with the Royal Oman Police (ROP)," the statement said.
The application should also be addressed to His Excellency the Secretary General, High Committee for National Day celebrations, it added. "Tenderer should enclose approved bank guarantee or certified cheque for the value of 1 per cent of tender sum valid for 90 days," the statement read.
