Preliminary lists of candidates for Shura Council to be announced tomorrow

Muscat: The preliminary lists of candidates for membership of the Shura Council for the tenth term will be announced on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

The Ministry of Interior will announce tomorrow the preliminary lists of candidates for membership of the Shura Council for the tenth term. This will be done through the elections website (elections.om) and the Intakhib (Elect) application.

Additionally, the Ministry indicated that it is permissible to object to the names included in the preliminary lists of candidates via an application submitted through the election website. This must be done within five days from the date of its announcement, with a statement of the reasons for the objection, as well as attaching supporting documents.

The outcome of the application will be decided within ten days from the day following the end of the application period.
