Muscat: In the presence of His Excellency Juta Yamamoto, Ambassador of Japan accredited to the Sultanate of Oman, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to establish hot spring centre in Ain Al Kasfa in South Al-Batinah Governorate, on Thursday, June 1, 2023, in the Invest in Oman hall.
The agreement was signed by Falha Investment Company with Le Ferro Company, Iranian New Golden Solutions Company, and Bahja Company from Rustaq.
Ain Al Kasfa was chosen because of the presence of variety of minerals that can be used to produce products to enhance the local added value of hot springs in the Sultanate in an innovative way.
The Japanese company Le Ferro will establish the first centre in Oman, consisting a department for research and development, a department for extracting minerals from water.
A department for developing cosmetic and health products from extracts of Al-Ain water as well as extracts of Omani aromatic and medicinal plants will also be established.
The Iranian New Golden Solutions Company, which specialises in construction projects in both the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran, has prepared proposed designs for the development of the project to place it on the global map of sustainable projects.
A contract was signed with the Goliath Tourism Marketing Company for marketing hot springs and attracting qualitative tourists interested in the healing properties of such springs.
An agreement was reached with Al Bahjah Company from the Wilayat of Rustaq to use its natural heritage facilities to celebrate the authentic Omani heritage and hospitality.
