Muscat: National Bank of Oman (NBO) participates in this year’s COMEX 2023, the Sultanate of Oman’s official technology, communications, innovation and digital transformation exhibition, where it demonstrates the advances in financial technology and the bank’s capabilities to drive Oman towards a digitally-enabled future. Held at Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) from 22-25 May, COMEX 2023 – the 32nd annual staging of the event – includes a public exhibition, workshops and seminars, as well as deep dive specialist events throughout the year.

NBO was the first local bank in Oman and since its inception has introduced many market firsts to the country. The bank has fully embraced the digital transformation of banking and was first in the country to introduce self-service kiosks, a Merchant App specifically designed to serve micro and home businesses, and adopted QR codes as a form of payment. Most recently, NBO opened Oman’s first Digital Corner in its head office in Al Udhaiba to serve NBO and non-NBO customers alike at any time of day or night. Adding accessibility and convenience, the new NBO Digital Corner allows customers to make banking suit their life at anytime.
Each year, COMEX is attended by over 30,000 visitors and features over 100 exhibitors from more than 15 countries. COMEX 2023 focuses on major industries and sectors listed in the national strategy for development, including Banking and Finance.
