1 tsp oil
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
¼ cup finely chopped tomato
¼ cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup fresh coriander, finely chopped
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp coriander powder
4 cups water
Salt, to taste
1 cup horse gram ,soaked in water for 30 minutes
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
In a saucepan, over low heat, heat the oil.
Add the ginger-garlic paste, tomato, and onion. Sauté for 2 minutes.
Season with cumin and coriander powder.
Add 4 cups of water, salt, and horse gram.
Reduce the heat to low and allow the soup to bubble until it is thoroughly cooked for about 45 minutes .
Season with black pepper, garnish with fresh coriander , mix well and serve hot.
