Muscat: For the third day in a row, the Wilayate of Sohar records the highest temperature in the Sultanate of Oman that shot up past 44 degree Celsius.
Oman Meteorology said that the highest temperature recorded on Wednesday was observed in the Wilayate of Sohar, where it touched 44.9 degree Celsius, while the lowest temperature was 12.3 degree Celsius recorded in Jabal Shams.
Oman Meteorology also mentioned that Sohar is followed by the Wilayat of Liwa in the Governorate of North Al Batinah and the Wilayat of Wadi Al Ma’awil in the South Al Batinah, where the recorded temperatures reached 44.5 degrees Celsius. Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi in the Governorate of North Al Sharqiyah recorded 44.4 degrees Celsius and the tem]erature in the Wilayat of Saham in the Governorate of North Al Batinah reached 44.3 degrees Celsius.
The Wilayat of Al Kamil and Al Wafi in the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyahrecorded 44.3 degrees and the temperature in the Wilayate of Shinas reached 44.0 degrees Celsius.
