Oman Air’s flight (WY 2435) from Muscat to Shiraz, Iran, suffered damage while landing at the Shiraz International Airport on Monday, caused by debris on the runway, forcing it to be grounded, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman confirmed on Tuesday. Oman Air said on its official Twitter handle on Tuesday that "following the damage, an engineering team has been flown to bring back the flight safely to Muscat". Oman Air is coordinating with local service providers to keep the passengers updated on the next schedule." Oman Air said that another aircraft has been dispatched to bring back the stranded passengers and apologized for the inconvenience to the guests and crew to the aircraft damage.
