Muscat: Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence received in his office at Al Murtafaa Garrison on Tuesday a delegation from the French Senate.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on matters of common concern.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and Ambassador of the French Republic to the Sultanate of Oman.
French Senate delegation visits MSC
A delegation from the French Senate today visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).
The delegation was accompanied by some members of the State Council. Commodore Jassim Mohammed Al Balushi, Director of Operations and Plans at the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) was present during the visit.
Upon their arrival the centre, the delegation was received by the Acting Head of the MSC.
The members of the visiting delegation toured the centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies used in carrying out its national duties. They were also briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the centre in the safety of the maritime environment.
