Muscat: Three citizens who went missing at sea on May 10, 2023 due to a technical malfunction in their boat have been found. They are in good health.

The Royal Air Force of Oman, with its specialised reconnaissance aircraft, and the Royal Navy of Oman were able to find the missing citizens, and they were in good health at sea while they were on a fishing trip a few days ago in North Al Batinah Governorate.

They were found 43 nautical miles from the Wilayat of Liwa. The Coast Guard police were contacted, who in turn towed the boat to the shore.

It is worth noting that this comes within the framework of the national efforts, humanitarian roles, and search and rescue services provided by the Sultan's Armed Forces and other departments of the Ministry of Defence to citizens and residents of the Sultanate of Oman.

Additionally, Royal Oman Police (ROP) said in a statement: "The efforts of the Coast Guard Police, in cooperation with the Royal Air Force of Oman and the Royal Navy of Oman, were crowned with success in finding the three citizens who went missing at sea in the Wilayat of Shinas on May 10, 2023, due to a technical failure in the engine of their boat. Their boat was towed and they were in good health."
