Muscat: Over 1,100 stranded Indian nationals, including a good number of women domestic workers have been rescued and repatriated back home over the past one year, according to the Indian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman.
The numbers were revealed by the Indian Embassy of Oman on its official Twitter handle on Wednesday.
The Indian Embassy in the Sultanate thanked the government of Oman for their “excellent cooperation” in this endeavour.
On Wednesday, a group of 15 stranded women workers from India were repatriated back home. The Indian Embassy said that it remains committed to the safety and welfare of stranded Indian nationals and has been taking proactive steps to assist them and have them sent back at the earliest.
