OER Business Summit focuses on boosting resilience of Omani economy

Muscat: An annual conference on enhancing the resilience of the Omani economy vis-à-vis regional and international developments was organised by United Media Services.

The opening of the conference, titled OER Business Summit, was held under the auspices of Eng. Badr Salim Al Ma’amari, Secretary General of the Tender Board.

The OER Summit elaborated on various themes, including the significance of business growth to human resources development, the sustainability of businesses in the backdrop of global economic changes, growth enablers, supply chains, governance, innovation, digital transition and attracting foreign investments.

The conference focused on all that relates to human resources development (HRD), designing relevant HRD organisational structures, grooming national competencies, improving productivity and outputs, establishing a sound business environment and ameliorating performance indicators.

As part of the OER Summit, a workshop was dedicated to understanding the concept of "high performance and enhancing team effectiveness factors" in an organisation by using smart assessment measures.
Another workshop was held on the sidelines of the OER Summit and focused on "espousing a culture of high performance to achieve growth".
