Muscat: Delegated by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sayyid Khalid Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, presided over a ceremony to honour pioneers in the field of youth action in GCC states during 2023.
The ceremony was held on the sidelines of the 36th meeting of the Committee of GCC Ministers of Youth and Sports.
Those honoured included the following public persons: Wafa Ahmed Al Ali and Rashid Ghanim Al Shamsi from the United Arab Emirates, Hope Fund and Tamkeen from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Fawzan and Dr. Louai Bakr Al Taiar from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tilal Development Company and Occidental Oman from the Sultanate of Oman, Khalifa Mohsin Al Sahwani and Harib Mohammed Al Jabri from the State of Qatar, as well as Dr. Hashim Mosaid Al Tabtabani and Dr. Fawaz Mohammed Al Ajmi from the State of Kuwait.
As for the category of outstanding creative youth, the following were honoured: Ahmed Abdullah Al Hosni and Sumaiya Said Al Siabi from the Sultanate of Oman, Mohammed Yousef Al Hamadi and Fatima Mosabih Al Shahriari from the United Arab Emirates, Karam Abdullah Hamad Al Mubarak and Saleh Mohammed Al Muhaz’I from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sara Turki Al Enzi and Najoud Mansour Al Shamri from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ghanim Mohammed Al Miftah and Mohammed Ahmed Al Qasabi from the State of Qatar, as well as Lama Fahad Mohammed Al Oraiman and Zainab Abdullah Al Samad Al Safar from the State of Kuwait.
The ceremony was attended by officials from the GCC Secretariat General and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in Oman.
