Shrimp relish

Ingredients

2 cups dried shrimps, cleaned and minced

1 medium onion , ground to paste

5 tbsp desiccated coconut flakes

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp paprika powder

Salt, to taste

Oil

Preparation in a pan over low heat, dry-roast the shrimps until crisp.

Remove from heat and keep aside .

In a skillet over low heat, sauté the onion and garlic in 1 tbsp oil for about 3 - 4 minutes. Transfer to a blender or food processor once cool, add the remaining ingredients, and grind to a coarse paste.

Serve at room temperature with rice or bread .
