Court fines steel company for cheating customers in Oman

Muscat:The primary court in Barka issued 44 judicial rulings against a steel company for violating Consumer Protection Law.
The court imposed a fine of OMR 30,900 and ordered the company to pay OMR 83,485 in compensation for consumers.
The company cheated consumers by sending SMS notifying them about offers on steel prices, but failed to sell the products at reduced prices as promised.
