Indian carrier, Go First cancels all Muscat flights for 3 days
Social media was flooded with complaints from passengers

Muscat/New Delhi: Go First Airways on Tuesday said that all its flights will remain cancelled on May 3, 4 and May 5.

Go First operates three direct flights Kochi and two direct flights Kannur from Muscat every week.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the airline said: “We regret to inform that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled for 3rd, 4th and 5th May 2023 have been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations. A full refund will be issued to the original mode of payment shortly. We acknowledge the flight cancellations might have disrupted your travel plans and we are committed to providing all the assistance we can. We thank you for your patience.”

The airline also said that the passengers should contact our Customer Care Centre on 1800 2100 999 or write to them at [email protected] in order to help them.

The airline also said that due to the non-supply of engines by US-based Jet engines manufacturer, operations will remain cancelled. "Go First is facing financial crunch due to non-supply of engines by US-based jet engines manufacturer Pratt and Whitney (P&W) that has forced grounding more than 50 planes," Go First official told ANI.

On Tuesday, social media was flooded with complaints from passengers regarding the cancellation of their scheduled Go Air flights. The passengers complained to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and DGCA demanding their refunds on bookings.

"My Go air ticket booking was cancelled without any reason. If flight G8 237 is operational on 03.05.2023 then there is no reason to cancel except to sell tickets at higher prices. Why only booking is cancelled when the flight is operational?" a passenger asked.

"A flight has been cancelled for tomorrow from Srinagar to Delhi. It was cancelled and rescheduled without informing. Too Bad service GoAir. Please Refund My Money," another passenger said.
