#OmanPride: App to help you stay up-to-date with events in Oman

Muscat: Locals and residents will now be up-to-date with the latest events in Oman thanks to a new application called ‘The 365’.
Residents Mohammad Imran Jalaluddin and Warren Fernandes worked for 6 months to get the application up and running where it will feature events occurring during the day and other upcoming events in the Sultanate, such as product launches, corporate events, concerts and many more.

“Companies will be able to log in to the app and start uploading their events. We are constantly working to make sure the events are attended by the maximum number of people possible,” said Imran, one of the creators. “We believe in short and simple methods to make things work easily,” he added.
The application, which will be launched today, will also have a shared box which will allow users to share events with one another and allow them to send messages freely. Imran said that in the future they would like ‘The 365’ to be a hit worldwide where Oman will be the first to feature in the application followed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“When you enter the app, Oman will always be the first country you see. If you want to see what is happening in other countries you will just have to change the option,” said Imran about future developments.
“According to your (businesses) needs, this application will show you exactly what you want the user of the application to see even if you want it to be shown in other countries,” he added.
When asked whether businesses will have to pay to display their events, he said, “At the moment there are no charges, but in the future, there will be a fee.”
He said that phase three of the project is expected to be completed by the end of August where the companies who wish to advertise or display their event will have to pay a small fee of not more than OMR 10 – OMR 15.
The fees will cover the operational cost of the application. In addition to that, users will be able to book online and buy tickets (if available) after the completion of phase three.
The android version of ‘The 365’ is available for download while the IOS version will be released on July 25.
