Muscat: The Omani delegation has concluded its visit to the Republic of Singapore, headed by the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
A commercial delegation from the public and private sectors concluded its visit to the Republic of Singapore, which aimed to strengthen the establishment of trade relations between the two friendly countries, and to search for available investment opportunities and new markets
During the visit, the delegation learned about the Singaporean experience, which is witnessing remarkable developments in the economic, commercial, industrial and investment fields.
The visit included holding several meetings between the Omani and Singaporean sides to introduce the attractive investment environment provided by the Sultanate of Oman to businessmen and investors, and to review the most important incentives, advantages and investment opportunities available in various sectors.
His Excellency Qais Al-Youssef and his accompanying delegation visited Okio's commercial office to learn about its activities in the field of trading and marketing oil, gas and petrochemical products in Asian markets.
The delegation was headed by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, with the participation of representatives from the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (OCCI), Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Public Authority for Economic Zones and Free Zones, Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Oman International Logistics Group, (ASYAD), and the National Program for Investment and Export Development "Nazdaher".
Statistics of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Singapore indicate that total Omani imports from the Republic of Singapore amounted to OMR 186.7 million during the year 2022, while the value of total Omani exports to the Republic of Singapore amounted to OMR 794.5 million during the same period.
