Police foil drug smuggling operations across Oman

Muscat: Three people have been arrested on charges of possessing narcotics substances, such as hashish, marijuana and crystal narcotics across the Sultanate of Oman, said the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

ROP said: “ The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, led by the Dhofar Governorate Police, has arrested two people of Asian nationalities on charges of possessing more than 20 pieces of marijuana in addition to large quantities of crystal narcotics. The legal procedures are being completed against them.

In South Al Sharqiyah Governorate a person has been arrested on charges of possessing more than 17 kgs of Hashish for trading, and legal procedures against him are underway.
