Muscat: The MSM30 Index ended on a flat note and closed at 3,828.21 points yesterday.

The MSM Shariah Index also ended flat at 520.50 points.

Sembcorp Salalah was the most active in terms of volume while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover for the day.

Muscat Finance, up 3.17 per cent, was the top gainer while the top loser was United Power, which lost 9.93 per cent.



A total number of 403 trades were executed during the day’s trading session generating turnover of OMR1.58 million with more than 9.38 million shares changing hands.

Out of 31 traded stocks, 7 advanced, 5 declined and 19 remained unchanged.



At the session close, Omani investors were net buyers for OMR551,000 while GCC and Arab investors were net sellers for OMR449,000 followed by foreigner investors for OMR102,000 worth of shares.

The Financial Index decreased 0.20 per cent to end at 6,258.43 points.

Muscat Finance was up by 3.17 per cent and closed at OMR0.065. Prices of Al Omaniya Financial Services, Gulf Investment Services, and National Bank of Oman were down by 1.63 per cent, 1.75 per cent, and 1.89 per cent respectively.

The Industrial Index closed at 4,536.65 points, up by 0.17 per cent.

Al Anwar Ceramics and Salalah Mills closed higher by 2.13 per cent and 0.36 per cent respectively. There were no losers.

The Services Index had reversed marginally and gained 0.08 per cent to close at 1,942.49 points.

Al Suwadi Power, OIFC, Omantel, and Ooredoo were up by 1.30 per cent, 1.22 per cent, 0.77 per cent, and 0.45 per cent respectively. United Power and Sembcorp Salalah closed down by 9.93 per cent and 1.72 per cent respectively.
