Over 2,000 water licenses issued in 2023 in Oman

Muscat : More than 2,000 water licenses have been issued in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman during the first three months of 2023.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources announced that it issued 2,564 water licenses in the first quarter of this year, distributed to all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

Al Dakhiliyah Governorate obtained the largest number of licenses in the first three months of 2023 , as last January the number reached 215 out of 1,100 licenses, 167 out of 783 licenses in February , and in March it reached 152 out of 681 licenses.

Water licenses are everything related to the registration and inventory of wells, requests for contractors to drill water wells, requests for developing water resources, and other services related to the water resources sector.
