National Company for Pharmaceutical Industries provided free medicines during COVID19

Muscat: Speaking exclusively to Times of Oman’s sisterly radio, on Shabiba programme, Dr. Walid bin Khalid Al-Zadjali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Company for Pharmaceutical Industries claimed that the company produces more than 2.5 billion medical products annually. A portion of this is exported to more than 50 countries around the world.

Dr. Zadjali also confirmed that the company produces more than 2.5 billion tablets, capsules and liquids annually, 70% of which is exported abroad and 30% is sold in the Sultanate of Oman.

It was also stated that 70% of the products of the National Company for Pharmaceutical Industries are exported to 52 countries around the world.

Dr. Zadjali also added that the company produces medicines for infectious diseases, which includes antibiotics, as well as medicines for pressure, diabetes, mental illness, paediatric diseases, painkillers, and many others.

 It was also revealed that the company provided medicines free of charge during the period of the Corona pandemic as a humanitarian dimension.

Dr. Walid bin Khaled Al-Zadjali pointed out that the company started production in 2002. He also stressed on the point that the company cares about the quality of medicines and is fully ready to register in international bodies.
